Why work with us instead of someone else?
Quite frankly, pretty much every firm will recommend the same basic outline: (1) research; (2) planning; (3) execution; and (4) evaluation. There may be some tweaks here and there and maybe a special name for it, but smart business folks don’t mess with the fundamentals. And you can’t get much more fundamental than that four-step process.
One firm may propose a raft of ready-to-implement tactics that look impressive. And they very well may be. Another may boast that its connections with top reporters give it an inside track to place stories. That could be true, too.
So what really sets one firm apart from another other than names, addresses and corporate colors? Well, here’s how we see it.
Our mantra is, “Do nothing without purpose.” That means for us there must be a compelling reason to do – or not do – something. And we’ve learned that clients value that approach because: (a) it’s rational, purposeful and smart; and (b) it saves a bunch of time and money. Our goal is to answer the key questions: why are we communicating, whom are we communicating to, what are we communicating about, and, most important, what comes next?
Knowing how best to answer those questions takes experience. Years of it. Experience that teaches how to assess a situation objectively, identify the most salient factors at play and then combine that knowledge with the savvy to translate that understanding into reliable, actionable and cost-effective counsel that builds value.
It may not have a fancy name, but it works. Again and again.
